Annual EW Trip to Wales (Shrewsbury) – where we always find hills to climb and sometimes get wet!

Our annual trip to Wales is to be 4 days during the week of Sept 29th – October 3rd. Typically we ride out from home about 60-70 miles on day 1, spend 2 days pedalling around the fabulous welsh hills and ride back home on day 4. If you fancy the idea of gambling on sunshine and no punctures, enjoying great company, good food and a few hills, then come and join us.

After looking at multiple accomodation options we’ve decided the best solution it ruin is to go into Shrewsbury town centre – some choice of hotels with enough rooms and loads of good food choices. The Lion Hotel is expecting us to fill 8 ensuite rooms, all single occupancy so no sharing needed. Room only but plenty ok f options nearby for breakfast and dinner. Rate is £220 per room for all three nights. Free cancellation before Sept 28th. Pay at property. Assume we will need to secure with a credit card when booking. It’s a grand old hotel with a whiff of Baskerville Hall eccentricity! So please would everyone get booking over the next day or so. Can book online using booking.com or directly.
