DESCRIPTION:Annual EW Trip to Wales – where we always find hills to climb and sometimes get wet!\n\nOur annual trip to Wales is likely to be 4 days during the week of Sept 29th – October 3rd. Typically we ride out from home about 60-70 miles on day 1\, spend 2 days pedalling around the fabulous welsh hills and ride back home on day 4.  All the details of location and accommodation are still to be decided for this year – but if you fancy the idea of gambling on sunshine and no punctures\, enjoying great company\, good food and a few hills\, then it would help planning if you could please register your interest by email to \nsecretary@eveshamwheelers.org.uk before the end of July.\nP.S.  It may not even be to Wales this year either!

DESCRIPTION:Our annual early season outing to Majorca has grown from 4 Wheelers in 2020 to 17 in 2025 – and now it is time to get set for 2026. If you have not experienced riding in Majorca then here is your chance to put that right: \n\n7 days flying out on Saturday March 7th 2026 and returning Saturday March 14th (some extend to 10 days or so).\nStaying at Hotel Bahia de Alcudia (our 3rd year there) which has a dedicated bike building for secure storage\, fresh fruit every morning\, a great tool station …. and an even better bar.\nBased in Puerto d ’Alcudia we are close to the beaches\, the mountains (Sa Colobra\, the famous lighthouse) and the fabulous interior\, providing a brilliant range of rides. You can take your own bike but most of us rent from one of multiple bike shops near the hotel.\nJet2 Holidays fly from Birmingham and cost can be as low as around £400 per person sharing a double/twin – that covers hotel half board\, flights and transfers if you use the Jet2 discounts.\nBring your partner even if they do not ride! DESCRIPTION:Evesham Vale Road Race 100km – Sunday 8th March 2026 \nThe race is four and a half laps of a 22km course\, the event is a popular early season race attracting a high quality field of riders. It will take place on the Inkberrow Circuit\, with the race HQ at Inkberrow Village Hall. (Inkberrow Village Hall\, Sands Rd\, Inkberrow\, Worcester WR7 4HJ) There is plenty of free parking and toilet facilities at the HQ\, but no showers. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase\, before and after the race. Teams are welcome to enter. Up to 5 riders are allowed per team. We are also running a Support Race for Category 3 & 4

SUMMARY:EW Reliability Ride 2026
DESCRIPTION:Evesham Wheelers Charity Reliability Ride – Sunday March 22nd 2026 \nStart and Finish at Raphael’s Restaurant\, Hampton Ferry\, Evesham \nReliability rides are non-competitive training (or social) events. At sign-on\, you choose a distance and target time and try to complete the course in (as close as possible to) the chosen time for that ride.  \nAs well as EW members\, the ride is open to all local cycling clubs and anyone else who would like to join in.  The distances and times are designed so that there is something for everyone.    \nRide choices:  \n\n8.00am 80 miles in 5 hours (16 mph)  \n\n\n9.00 am 50 miles in 4 hours (12.5 mph)  \n\n\n9.30 am 50 miles in 3 hours (17 mph) \n\n\n10.00am 25 miles in 2 hrs 30 mins (10 mph) – to suit 1st timers\n\n————————————————————————————————————— \n\nRegistration for all rides is on the day\, opening at 7.45 am.   \n\n\nEntry fee\, payable on the day\, is a suggested donation of £5 per rider – ALL THE REVENUE GOES TO ONE OF OUR LOCAL CHARITIES. Please bring cash!  There will be a bit of a gathering as finishers come in and relax over a drink or food at Raphael’s – probably around 1.00 – 1.30.   \n\n\nThe 25 scenic mile route will be a mildly undulating tour of the famous Lenches with about 360 metres of climbing. The 50 mile route is new for this year and heads north in the direction of Bromsgrove with about 700m of climbing. The 80 mile route is also new and as usual contains a bump or two\, adding up to around 1000m of climbing over a course that goes SW and along the River Severn before turning NE through the Cotswolds.      \n\n\nThere will be no signs\, no route markers and no paper course instructions – just GPX files available in advance from the following sources: \n\n\nDownloadable from the Cyql app (available from Google or Apple app stores) \n\n\nDownloadable via the EW website:  see zip file below\n\n\nFor EW members\, they will also be available on the club WhatsApp groups and Facebook.  \n\n\nIf you have no access to any of these\, then please just show up early on the morning and we will try to help when you register.   If you have no Garmin or other device\, we do our best to help you “buddy up” with someone who has one.  \n \nThe Start and Finish are at Raphael’s Restaurant at Hampton Ferry.  Plenty of free parking is available. After some climbing you arrive at the control at the Bringsty Vintage Cafe. The return is more benign and goes though Worcester and Pershore before returning to Evesham.
