DESCRIPTION:I’ve spent a very enjoyable afternoon checking the route for the Honeybourne 50 Audax. It’s 54km in length with a stop at the glider club cafe. Around 10km or 6 miles each way from Evesham to Honeybourne and back. It makes it about the same length as a C ride. The date is 31st August\, next Saturday. It’s £4 if you have Cycling UK insurance. Your money will increase the amount in the charity pot we can give out to good causes. SUMMARY:Le Tour des Trois Vallees 2024
DESCRIPTION:The event is a set of cycle routes organised by Cyclo-Club Dieppois on the roads and lanes of the countryside in and around Dieppe\, offering various distances (from 30 to 140 km) to suit both families as well as keen club cyclists. A walk is generally offered for non-cyclists. With the exception of 2020 and 2021\, when the event was unavoidably cancelled due to Covid\, the event has been held every year. \nThe event was started in 1972 by our own Neville Chanin. He was a well-known British cyclist who traveled widely throughout the world by bicycle. It was established in commemoration of the infamous Dieppe Raid of 1942 where our Canadian allies suffered such terrible losses.
