Neville Chanin
![]() A wishful-thinking Neville |
Neville passed the 1 million kilometer milestone last year and spent 128 days awheel outside the UK. He visited France several times, Mallorca twice, including a day out with Derek Hayday, and the Costa Blanca. His visit to the Tour de France included riding Mont Ventoux and the col de Restefond (2802 metre). He rode home via the Semaine Federale at Saumur. |
At the close of 2008, Neville was ranked 9th out of 69 '300,000 milers'. Here are Neville's stats:
| Pos | 08 Mileage | Years awheel | Age at year end | Grand Total | Highest Mileage in Year |
| 9 | 11,599 | 62 | 73 | 632,306 | 19,166 |

Mark Brazier
Just scraped in over 20.000 miles in 2008 . well down on 2007 total but from the end of October I cut the mileage and concentrated on the weekly turbo sessions in Hereford. The weather in 2008 will be the talking point in years to come but Anne and I were fortunate to get some very good trips to Scotland, where the dry weather for much of the summer made some of the off road we enjoy much easier by making the river crossings much safer. Highlights were a ride out and back from Aberdeen into the Cairngorms, staying in Braemar, and in April we got some on and off road on Mull. Ardnamurchan and Morvern, for a flavour of this area check out the Isle of Mull CC website.Plus in 2008 we did get to the end of the "long road" on Jura,to the place in the middle of nowhere where George Orwell wrote "1984", riding from our base on Islay. Plans for 2009 are to continue to reduce the mileage to a "saner" level, already helped by the January weather, I am already 500 miles down this year versus last.
Here are Mark's stats:
| Pos | 08 Mileage | Years awheel | Age at year end | Grand Total | Highest Mileage in Year |
| 50 | 20,658 | 29 | 53 | 368,154 | 22,162 |
