On Friday 20th April 2007, 160 Evesham Wheelers attended their 60th Anniversary celebrations at the Servicemen's Club in Evesham.

Guests of honour were the legendary Mr Tommy Godwin and his wife. Tommy was the double Olympic Bronze medallist who represented Great Britain in London in 1948. He was also manager of the Great Britain Cycling Team at the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth Australia, and the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. He enthralled the audience with his anecdotes and in depth knowledge of cycling.

He praised Evesham Wheelers for their strong pedigree and their support for  the future of cycling via the " Go Ride" scheme. Mrs Godwin was presented with a bouquet by the club.

The president of Evesham Wheelers Mr Neville Chanin, who has covered 600,000 miles in his cycling career, opened his address to the membership with a song, and then went on to mention some of the memorable highlights of Evesham Wheelers long and successful history.  He also praised the achievements made by the club, in the promotion of cycling in the Midlands and the efforts of the committee which continued to move the club from strength to strength.
Eight members who founded Evesham Wheelers in 1947 were present, Bernard Green, Ray Hemming, Aussie Heeks, Geoffrey Morris, John Palmer, Ronald Walker, Dennis Wood and Gordon Taylor. They were presented with Commemorative tankards to celebrate the occasion.
